Dart block lifter question
I have a new motor going together and the foundation is a new dart 10.2 deck block. the problem is that I have comp cams hydraulic roller lifers with the vertical tie bar and it bottoms out on the lifter block. anyone have this problem. I have another set of isky lifters and they do the same thing. does the block need machined in this area or does someone know of a set of hr lifters that will work:drink:

You need something like this. They are .300 taller than stock.

No all you need to do is mill .300 off the front of the lifter boss in the block, so the tie bar will clear it.

I spoke to my builder and he says that the lifter bosses can be machined to run the shorter lifters?????? wouldnt the rocker arm geometry be screwed up?

I have comp 7141 and 7131 pushrods. I ordered the .300" lifters. are these pushrods going to be too long since they were in my other motor? it was a 10.2" bowtie block and it had the standard height lifters. I know have a 10.2 deck dart block with .300" lifters. the tech guy at comp said that the pushrod length should be the same as the only difference is the actual body of the lifter and the plunger is the same height?????????/ I guess I will get my trust pushrod measuring tool out tomorrow. damn I am tired of problems.

well I went from comp lifters to comp .300 taller lifters so i was assuming that my pushrods would be too long................... thats what happens when you assume. the new lifters have a taller body but the plunger is farther down inside the lifter so the pushrods were actually too short.
