Westech "Top Thunder" kits?
 

I saw on Westech Performance that they have a kit to upgrade a 454 to 425 HP. Cost is $1,161. I emailed them to find out what they are starting with (crate, base 7.4, 454 mag) an what I could expect from a pair of 89 7.4L's, and have gotten no response. Anybody try one of these and what is your opinion of it??

I've seen that Westech thing before. I'm not saying they don't know what there doing, but it seems an over simplification to me. Its one thing to make the power, and another to have dependable power. Tyler Crockett offers a package to upgrade 330HP's and you can go right up to his shop in Ruby and talk to him. He is local and he is good. At least you are dealing with someone face to face.
I've done alot of upgrading to my 330HP, and I can share a few ideas with you.

I guess it one of those "if it sounds too good to be true" (or too cheap to be good) things. I'm not planning anything for this season, maybe in the fall... I'm interested in what you did to your engine, let's talk at the get together on the 27th.
