NW_Jim.........In fact on the Taylor 135 degree, we just put a black set on my sons 1970 pontiac and are very well made also (to keep it that stock look). I guess (even though lots of folks may think the subject "simple), it depents on the clearences and how you want the stuff to look or hang.

I have used the TAYLOR wires for about 10 years now and have had 0 problems with them. The other thing is the boots dont pull off the wires.

US1 Fountain, maybe you should also consider the Jacobs marine multi-master ignition. Works great & uses the stock igniton module for the curve. Works great, really a hot spark & I have never heard of any corrosion problems. If a failure occurred with the Jacobs, you move one wire to go back to stock ignition system. It's always nice to have a "backup system" when you are far off shore. This is it. It comes complete with cut to fit wires (no radio interferance- am/fm/uhf/vhf). It looks good also. It worked for me. Just another .02!

US1 Fountain.
I did get a reply from the MSD tech. He (they) said that the only way you could have a problem was if there was a bad wire. (the short version). |
kaamacat, thanks for the update!
I ordered the MSD wires last night from Summit. BTW, the pt # 3123 you suggested have the 90* boot for HEI. (Has the little tit on boot top for the wire holder) I ordered the 3122 that have the plain 90* dist. boot that is like whats on the Merc distribs. Got this number from the MSD site, as Summit has their pictures and descriptions switched around. Both are the same wire and 90* plug end, just different style of distr boot. Thanks for the help, Jerry |
US1 Fountain.....cool........Yea, the 3123 comes with both just in case you have the HEI setup. Just take some time to measure then cut.

I doubt that I had a Bad wire since those MSD wires that I removed are still in service and running good on a non Knock T-bolt ignition system. |
