Numbers for last couple days on plastic pump
Cold 6-7 psi idle
Once thermostat opens it goes to about 2

3600 to 3800 rpm 22-24 psi running about 160 degrees, have not tried WOT yet

From my oil temp thread I found my readings were
I'm on the second season of my impeller and the Hardin marine pump, with water pressure at 20 to 23 psi WOT. Cruise 3600 rpm is around 18 to 20 psi
and I was on second season of the impeller
So if next season is the same as above, then there is no difference, but the initial looks good. Oh another point is this is my old pump housing which had just really light groves (enough to see, but not enough to catch a nail)

I installed a brand new Hardin pump with a brand new OEM Merc impeller and made it about 100 yards through the no wake zone before the needle pegged 200. Pulled the hose off from the circulation pump and mostly just steam. Hopefully didn’t hurt the new engine. Haven’t had a chance to look at things yet.

Sounds not good!!
My engine pcm is programmed to need 30psi minimum at Wot.
So all pressure under this over 4500 rpm reduce power.
No one wants this!!
I drive to holiday now with my 22 psi and look after it where i can find some more psi.
Maybe transom pick up or so!

Turns out I didn’t put the inside wear plate in as it looks like scrap metal so I tossed it. I ordered a new wear plate and it pumps like a beast now.
