Procharger ?
I was wondering what the difference is in HP if you run a 5 lb pulley compared to a 3 lb pulley. Also wondering what the reliabilty factor is between the 2?

Depends on your engine starting HP. I am guessing it can make up to 100HP on some engines. Think of your engine as a bucket of water. The faster you tip it the faster you run out of water. Of course we could talking about years difference based on drivers.

I had a Procharger. With mine I would've also had to remove cool fuel and add bigger injectors. more to it than just a pulley. Check on what the differences are between stage 1 & 2

on the older carb models the procharger tech guys told me they saw an average of 45% gain with the 5 lb kit . as far as reliability it all depends on how well you tune it and what package your putting on . My 502 had forged pistons good rods and steel crank and made it 11 years before loosing an exhaust valve . so thats pretty good longevity for the power it was producing on stock internals . now when i tore it down i put some srp blower pistons a set of extreme duty incolnel valves and a comp blower cam that they claimed helps produce better boost. with that done i see 7.5-8 lbs of boost with the same pully and feel i have an engine that will last me plenty long with the procharger on it. most important thing is watch your fuel ratio and timing, those can kill and engine quick .

I am sending it to Mark at Precision in Louisiana, so I am pretty sure it will be tuned correctly.

So what do you think caused the increase in boost ?

less overlap, I guess that makes sense, thanks
