RPM's?

How many RPM's should I be turning on my 7.4 (carb'd) Bravo 3. Formula 252, currently runs 54 on GPS @ 4300.

It should have the WOT operating range right on top of the engine. I think its 4400-4800 or so, maybe 4200-4600???
Spin it as close to the top WOT # range as possible to make the most power.

The mercruiser service manual said your rpm range is 4200-4600 rpms. And also if you still have the stock flame arrestor it might tell you what the max rpm would be.

Today I went and changed my spark plugs to the factory recommended AC Delco plugs. I also changed out impeller assembly. Now I was running WOT @ 4950 RPM's !!!!!!!!! Must have had a bad NGK plug. Not sure, but it runs awesome now.:evilb:
