I have a friend that has some 502MPI's in a 31 Scarab and would like to do some performance mods.
If I remember correctly you did alot of work on MPI's and knew what works and what doesn't.

He is wondering if 500-525 can be achieved with the Merc set up. I know he will NOT supercharge. Mild head porting , intake porting, camshaft ,etc he would do. What about just stroking (540) and a custom grind cam ?
