Yes, the top link with the wire flame arrestors and V-belts is an earlier version. But they are both 502 Mags - 415hp.

Isn't one of those considered a roller motor and the otehr is not?

thanks, but is both of them mpi?
the reason I´m asking is that it`s a must when we want to get a boat CE certified in Denmark/Europe!

mpi means Multi Port Injection and yes... they are both that. the later ones are significantly better motors. i'm not sure why that would make a difference to the euro CE standard , however... i can't imagine that any of this stuff got euro certified...
