I have used quite a few of them. I have been pleased with them. A few years ago, I had problems with a few of them bypassing to much oil through the cooler so the engine wouldn't build any temp. They changed the design a little and changed the thermostat manufacturer and that fixed it. I have used a quite a few in the past few years and they worked great. How much power are you running?
Eddie

I am thinking you should be good.

You don't really winterize them. I was kind of making fun of a question that I asked Eddie.

should i go bigger to be safe...

Young Performance 07-31-2009 10:28 PM

They offer 2 different sizes. I would use the larger of the two. I think it is rated for around 1000 hp. The smaller one is going to be borderline for your power. Give me a call and I can get one for you.
Eddie

Here is the one you need.
This is with power steering.http://www.hardin-marine.com/detail~ID~859.aspx
