600 sci motor oil??

I have Mercury 600sci w 120hrs on them. On the motor and service manual it says use Kendall 20/50W.

Anybody using synthetics or should I just stick w Mercury suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Mark, what happened to the 38 Awsome, you replace with the Fountain?

AMSOIL 15w-50 Dominator Racing Oil.

Racerngr1 08-11-2009 11:24 PM

Or the Amsoil 20/50 Motorcycle oil.

Yep, decided I wanted to go back to a V. Insurance cheaper and for now this boat will do until I can really afford the cat I want. I wanted a reliable fast stock set up and this boat did it for me!

That boat is awesome!

chattviper 08-18-2009 07:30 AM

Thank you very much!! It was something a little different than the rest out there. Plus that hull allows me to upgrade motors and drives if I choose too later on.

Whats the latest on your boat upgrade?

Another vote for Mobil 1.. V-twin.. 20-50

Seems to work really well in my motor.

Absolutely no loss in oil level, and keeps great oil pressure even when running hard.

Just sitting tight right now, enjoying it, probably do a power refresh this winter, and go from there, who knows.

Do a search on "best motor oil"

You will find tons of info there.

Hydrocruiser has lots of technical info on this subject.

The additive package is stronger than automotive oils is the short answer.
