Marine Blower

Sosatime:

Both J&E and CP make well engineered and manufactured pistons. The real secret on a blower motor is not as much the forged piston manufacturer as it is getting the right type and configuration of piston for your particular combination of systems on your blower engine. A good knowledgeable marine performance blower engine builder will know some good choices and successful specs, but the ultimate success will come from the complete system setup, prep, quality build, dyno testing and tuning your engine for the correct air/fuel ratios and temperatures for your particular usage, especially if your engine is a carburated blower engine. There are only a few quality marine blower engine builders in the US who have the experience, knowlege and proven track record with their special build packages that can do it right time after time.
Find one of the good ones and use them, stay away from builders who won't stand behind their engines and those who do not have enough solid history of producing these blower engines year in and year out! DON'T BUY YOUR ENGINES TWICE! AND RUIN YOUR SEASON!

Both are great, but I have run CP's in my last two drag motors and the last one made over 2200hp. My builder likes them better, so thats what we went with... but again, both are great pistons.
