whippled 377 Scorpions that make 650 HP
Something here stinks.... I call Bullchit
http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=59221 :bsflag: So how much Hp can a Whippled Scorpion really make w/ stock exhaust and heads??? A little help here |
I would guess around 525 hp.

I have a stock 377 Blue Scorpion that made 411hp on Tyler's dyno. I highly doubt those are making 650hp with stock cast iron manifolds.

I boosted a 383 this spring for a customer. The exhaust was already done by us the year prior.. The 383 with us installing the Whipple 2.3 EFI ran about 525 hp.. It runs nice on my customers C'mate, but it is'nt a 600+hp unit.. Unless some other stuff of magnitude was done Im leary of thinking 377 with boost on a stock unit or slightly modded is pushing 600+.. Unless it is boosting out the ying yang.. :party-smiley-004: :) Jamie / Lakeside

A 50% increase HP is about all you can you get by supercharging, so maybe 525HP. Unless he's running some insane boost and race fuel, no way its over 600hp.

I guess the factory specification from Mercury Racing is 377 HP at the crankshaft. |
