525 EFI factory spark plugs

Does anyone know which NGK plug is installed by the factory? Also has anyone found a better plug, mine load up at idle? Thanks

I have a 525 but it has NGK's in it. I remember asking a Merc rep if there was a better plug than a NGK for my Merc 2.5 outboard? He said, Not if you want it to run. :eek: Doug

On the engine the sticker they say BPR6ES , mine run BPR5ES , i know the the 5 and 6 mean hotter or cooler , when i bought the boat he come with it ....never a problem so far
