Oil Temps

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but what is a good oil temp with a coolant temp of 150 or so....thanks Rob

not related. i believe 150 is too cold for water and oil needs to be 210 to 230 stable.

150* is fine for water temp. Thats what all merc carbed motors run.

You want oil temps to be about 210* at cruise speed and they may creep up to around 260* after a hard run. If it gets beyond about 260* its getting too hot and ou need a bigger oil cooler.

ok....thats what I needed to know, seems right in the ballpark then...running about 210-220 after cruising...260 after hard run...now this is taken from the remote oil filter adapter...I know we talked about this location before....thanks Rob
