Engine mount bracket
 

Who else makes an engine mount bracket for a small block similar to #1 in this picture? The Mercruiser price is hard to stomach. I haven't been able to find them anywhere else.

It's the same mount for small blocks and big blocks. I would think you should be able to find a used one. Put a post in the swap shop that you are looking for one.

I just gave a set away. I'll see if i have another in the shop attic - I'll be up there later anyhow. Do you need both top and bottom for one side? two sides? half of each? in the absence of extras upstairs, you can find them on ebay pretty commonly or likely from a local boat salvage mess. just be a little careful, there are a couple of different heights.

addition: ebasicpower has them for under 100 a side... (both top and bottom). they're usually easy to deal with for basic stuff like this.
