Did you check the wires to make sure nothing was crossed? What kind of pump do you have?

Brushwolf243 09-10-2009 09:25 PM

Not for sure what brand of pump (small screw on top cover - fill tube is located in the front under the cover) Wire connections are plugged in.

Are your switches set up in a right/left/both configuration?

In other words, are there 3 switches for the trim tabs, or just 2?

What kind of pump and tabs do you have?

Hey Brushwolf,

Sounds like you have Bennett Trim Tabs.

I work for Bennett.

If the tabs have been worked on recently, it could be that the wires are not correctly connected to the control.

Here is the correct wiring.

Blue: Motor Forward (tabs down)
Yellow: Motor Reverse, (tabs up)
Green: Starboard valve
Red: Port Valve

If the Red and Green along with the Blue are all energized, both tabs will go down. On the back of the control, the brass is stamped, R, G, Y, B for each wire. Check the wire harness as well to make sure the wires aren't crossed.

If this doesn't solve it, you can call me at the office. Nice thing about the system is that often we can fix it at little or no charge.
