I am thinking about putting in pair of take out’s. I know an electric fuel pump will be needed along with a return line. What about wiring? Or what else I should be thinking about?

If they are complete take outs then there should be little if any wiring needed. If they are a stock set up, you will not need the return line either.

conversion

jim,i just did the same thing on my fountain, but went from efi,to a carb.here is what i had to do.distributor, ingition box,[msd],wiring harness, fuel pump.i would say you would need a distributor,a high pressure pumpw/return to tank, and a wiring harness for that year motor.mine was a easy conversion.i went that way because of all tghe problems i had w,the vst style efi.people told me i was going to take a hit on fuel consumption, but i cannot see any diffrence.it is easy to work on for me,as i am a old school kinda guy.i am not tacking anything away from efi.there are pro,s and con.s to both.hope this helps.
