I agree with all above. The other part of the problem, is if the caps are that bad, what are you going to do with the parting line on the block, if to much material is missing at the block center parting area it can not be replaced. That area is only going to get larger by boring or honing it. I would have someone look at the block before investing in the caps.

You have had a few "Respected Builders" Reply in this thread, Heed their advice. Get another set of caps, Have them Reset and align Honed. if done correctly they take minimal material off the block, if done wrong and they take too much from the block they raise the crank and you have piston hight, timing chain problems, etc, have it done right---> Or have a Bunch of other problems....

i found some caps from teague marine so hopefully they will work. The block is at GT marine and they do good work so i should be fine, hopefully. Im always worried about engine stuff, so touchy haha
