That condensation thing is huge. It will kill the engine long before it's time. Make sure it gets hot, 140-150 at least with 200+ degree oil. There are some good threads around on it with very scary photos of relatively young engines that are trashed with gray/brown condensation sludge everywhere. Horrible stuff.

I know the breathers dont look great, but they are very much functional for now. Hallet Fan you make it sound like I have a set of rusty valve covers off a farm truck on it, I didnt think they looked that terrible. I want a set of two piece covers, but they are crazy expensive for what you get.
The motor goes in a 24ft baja, wish it was a 28' Pantera, but I have to use what I got.
Thanks for all the positive comments. I was kind of disappointed with the orange, kind of thought it looked like I stole it off the back of a highway construction crew truck, but it is growing on me. It is more metallic in person then it looks in the video.

I have to get a new oil cooler, and i am going to get one that is thermostatically control, I think that will help the condensation issue more then the colant temp. I am reluctant to use the crossover with the thermostat because logic tells me that it will cause hot spots in the block without a circulating pump.

Any comments on hot spots without a circulating pump? I'm running a thermostat and crossover (with a bypass) and if anyone has experience I would like to hear about it. Once the thermostat is open it should be all good. I would think that any hot spots would create thermal movement of the hot water to the top of the engine where it would open the thermostat and then the seawater pump would become the circulation pump.

drill&tap the intake manifold at the rear water ports and run -6 line overboard,that way you always have water moveing,no more hot spots,it works for me.:coolcowboy:

atlest put a housing and put a restrictor in it,that will solve your air,try it you can do it later when the funds come, hey when i built my motor I ran the stock valve covers for 2 years,do what ya can with what ya got:drink:
