Trailer bearing maintenance ?
 

How often does everyone (well those that do) change or repack their wheel bearings?
I did mine in 2007, compete replacement of all bearings & seals and I grease them regularly, I just did a check on the wheels before the winter layup and found one of the wheels bearings completely shot and two others needing to be repacked.
I do not put a lot of miles on the trailer but do put it in and out of fresh water about 10 times a month in the summer.

I think it is a good inexpensive annual winter project to check and pre-pack the trailer bearings. Too much potential down time in the season to have trailer issues.

I can't say enough good things about this product. Grease and adjust once and you should be good for several years.

I did bearings every season. Always had problems. I went to oil and it ran rite out the back. Turns out it always had the wrong rear seal . I was told by the company who sold me the oil bath hubs to measure the seal shaft and they where rite. The shaft was not to the manufactures spec. You can get different size rear seals. Now im good to go. So measure the shaft and get the rite inner seal.

I do mine once a year, usually during the winter. I have been on the side of the road 1 to many times. And if you have not been there once is enough..

been there, done it, got the shirt... replace them all every year. the big thing is after traveling distance let them cool off for an hour or so before putting them in the water. also salt is a big killer.. mark
