Anything over about 710 ci requires a wider bore spacing. That means custom blocks, heads and cranks. Con rods about 8 inches long. Prices I've seen are about 100,000 an engine for an engine from a good builder. It's a lot cheaper to put a blower on top of a 600 ci engine.

Cheaper ?
we have an 814 Ford for a Pro Mod Mustang in the shop and it has over 100,000 in it +1800hp on motor plus 1000hp of spray on top of that friggin cool though.:coolcowboy: 40 plus hours just in the block to make everything happy. 600 cubic inch blown seems to be the best boat combo for now:evilb: my two cents which is only worth a 1/4 cent today:lolhit: |

That price is about right. The shop I've had a lot of custom engine work done for my Supercharged Denali builds race engines and they had and 800cui engine on the engine dyno when I was there last time. It made over 1800hp that day. They said it was around 100k for the motor.
