coming out of a jet boat my self..i understand your need to look over your shoulder.if you dont see water peeing on a jet boat ..well it means another teardown.last outting in my ls2000.burnt pistons in both motors.......
thats why i got the baja

Ya i had a 98 exciter 270 twin, same motors as yours, rebuilt ten once, one came un glued bad when i bought it, needed cases..


There must be a way to just do a small line like a yamaha jet boat and not use ton much water so exhaust doesnt starve.

Just put a water pressure guage in the dash then. You won't even have to turn around to see it.

Usually the boats you see with the water pumping out the side are using a pressure valve and just dumping excess pressure while running. I've seen boats with dry pipes dumping water as well, but that was out the transom.

The only boat I've ever seen dumping water at idle with wet pipes had 1075's which I think have a multi-stage fresh water pump, not sure if it has something to do with the water pump on that motor or not. Would like to find out tho...
