water pressure tubing
what kind of tubing is used on a water pressure gauge and who handles the kit
|
Most gauge kits use 1/8" poly tubing. You can buy the tubing and fittings from any hardware store. I don't like the tubing so I use 1/4" rubber hose. You can use either fuel hose, or a more specific hose like push-loc hose from Russel, Earl's. Aeroquip, etc. You can order it from Summit or Jegs, etc.
You can also order a full kit from Livorsi with the gauge and the tubing and fittings. Eddie |
I use Pisco tubing, since we have them at work in various sizes. 1/8 is the sizeyou need.

Livorsi sells the tubing and fittings

The plastic tubing likes to kink pretty easily. If you use it, leave a couple extra feet coiled up, especially if you use teh block drain to feed it. The tubing can clog and it is sometimes easier to cut off a few inches than to try and unclog it.

I found some 1/4 inch air hose at The Home Depot .It is gray in color . It came in a 50' roll for about 35 dollars.

Yep, that's why I recommended Pisco , it's very flexible and takes very high pressures . I use Pisco for my drive shower with quick connect fittings . http://www3.telus.net/spectrasonly/t...xh%20installed |
