Mercruiser Shift Cable Mount Bracket
 
Can someone tell me if this can be used on my boat?Is it for a chevy 454?IS this the part that bolts to the riser for the shift cables? Thanks Mike. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

yes it will work and has the early 80s canon plug front mount braket if you need it

That one is off an Alpha equiped drive. Don't know if they are the same as a Bravo bracket.

need shift cable for 89 265 force. 454 mag 360 hp. this boat is 28 ft. long with a tape on it. does this make a diff. on length of the shift cable lenght. sorry about the spelling.

The lower cables are the same length I believe, the upper cable should be stamped at the ends with the length. If you have to go from scratch it is better to be too long than too short, you don't want to bend the cable too much or it will bind.
