WPM Brazil valve leaks!!

I installed WPM add on external steering and can't seem to get a Brazil valve that does not leak!! It leaks when not running and haven't had it on the water yet. Someone suggested that once I ran the boat the fluid temperature would help the O ring seal??
Anyone suggestions??

Thanks,Mark

brazil valve

One common problem that happens there is a little " o" ring that people drop when disassembling the unit. Check and see if the o ring is in place, I've done this myself. Hope this helps

Brazil valve

It is leaking around steering shaft o ring supplied with valve. There are no marks or scars on steering shaft and old cylinder was removed with wrench per directions.I did notice the valve slid over the shaft with no resistance like the o ring was to loose
Thanks,Mark.

You may have a bad brazil valve. I installed an add-on WPM system on my boat last summer. The brazil valve blew out while I was using the boat for the first time. Hydraulic fluid everywhere. I called WPM and they said they got a batch of bad brazil valves (bad seals). They sent me a new one, no questions asked and I have had no troubles since. I would give them a call. If you start it up now, you might get hydraulic fluid all over the place.
