Water in Power Steering
G'day All,
I blew a PS on IMCO Full hydraulic my system the other day while bleeding the system, fortunately while on the trailer! Problem is, the hose blew off at the connector to the filter on the transom and the loose end dropped into the bilge. The fluid level in the res dropped faster than expected so we knew something was wrong. The loose end dropped into some water and I fear may have sucked some up into the system. Problem is now, how do I make sure it's all out? I've drained all the fluid I can from the entire system and blown all the hoses through (by mouth, which wasn't fun!) to make sure they are empty. I've refilled the system with fresh fluid and the level is up and good but how will I know if there's still water there? And if there is, how do I get it all out? Any help or advice (urgently) would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, :drink: John |
