mallory 140 fuel pump
What is the maximum Hp the mallory 140 marine pump can handle, I talked with a mallory tech he told me that they will support up to 400 hp. I need one that will support 600 hp, any suggestions. Jp

Their customer service was great and easy to work with. I would buy their products in a heart beat, and would give a second thought about paying 10-20% more for their products. |
I run Mallory 140's on 590HP. At 8lbs the 140 still flows more than 100GPH. You only need 52GPH to support 600HP. throw in 30% more fuel for margin of error and that brings you to 67.6GPH
http://www.malloryperformance.com/pdf/110_140.pdf 600 hp / .52 (BSFC) = 312 lbs per hr. 312 / 6lb per gallon = 52 gallons per hr. 52 x 30% = 67.6 Am I missing something? I know a lot of people running Mallory or Holley (not a fan of the Holley) 140GPH pumps on over 600HP engines. I run an Innovate O2 wideband also, no plug reading for me. I still can't figure that out on my snomobile. |
