Lubricating Indicator Cables

What type of lube should you use on me mechanical indicators?

There is really nothing you can use as there is no way to get it way up in the cable. They are cheap enough and easy enough to just replace.

Replace? they are only a year old. Did you ever hear of graphite lube? Somebody mentioned it to me but didn't have a lot of details.

I would think that you'd have a tough time getting a dry lube, such as graphite, to get very far down into the length of the cable - you don't get that wicking you do with a fluid, like oil. .02.

They used to sell a gizmo at motorcycle places that attached to the cable and forced lube down them-you might want to check one out.
