intake 454
what is a good intake for a 454 with a tad bit bigger cam than stock, and imco exhaust, that would be better than stock intake on it now. it is a older late 80s motor in a 25 checkmate.

I would just go with the RPM. It's a good intake for stock or even with upgrades.

GRD, have you used the RPM airgap intake from Edelbrock? I've heard good things, but don't have any experience myself.

Now that you got that out of the way you might as well throw that 278 comp cam in there to really appreciate that intake. LOL...

I run the RPM Air-Gap, but have tried the Victor Jnr, the Torker, Torker 2.0 and a Dart intake. For your set up (and most others too) the RPM Air-Gap is unmatched!
Make sure you get it gasket matched to the manifold gaskets on the intake side and try and get the heads matched too. I haven't seen the 'Crosswind' product but the Edelbrock quality is second to none. Good Luck! |
