Exhaust is factory but I did pick up some gil stainless risers dirt cheap I was going to put on the top of the stock manifolds just to see if it gave it a different tone. Don't know if they'll help it flow much better or not.

If they bolt up you wont see any gains with just those. I've been all through that years ago. Even had stainless dry pipes all the way to the tips. You have to get a set of gils or emi's at the very least. Even then without your other mods you'll see very limited gains. You will hear a slight tone dif. though. The cam has to go also. What you really need to do is be honest with yourself and figure out what the most your willing to spend and we can give you some ideas. The way I see it know is that your pretty much talking the complete longblock including exhaust. Big bucks... As mentioned before I would consider a drop in engine with exhaust. You may consider a used 502 that has been built a bit with exhaust. You'd still be looking at around 6k plus.

have fun searching anyway. Isn't fun when your head hits the pillow and all your thoughts involve BBC'ssssssssssssssss

Gil risers won't fit stock Merc manifolds. That Crane cam is even a little smaller than a stock 454mag cam.

Like Griff said the gil risers wont fit unless there is a year or two when they were doing something different. The pipes/risers that I expermited with back in the late 80 early 90's were built by Greg Billings in Grand Rapids, MI. There was a lot of those riser pipes floating around at the time and they looked just like gils however the flange fit that of a stock maniflold.

FYI, Not sure if you want to go this far, but I have a pair of NA 565cid short deck engines w/AFR 315 CNC ported heads that make about 600+hp @5400rpm w/very mild hyd roller cams I am willing to seperate, 230hrs, $12.5k each, built by Dave Wesseldyk

I also have 4.5" Stellings full length tubular racing headers, fresh water, $2500 per set

I can give you more details...just send me a PM if you want
