Mercruiser 575 Supercharger ????
A guy has this setup forsale, don't know anything about it, would like to get some more info from you guys. This is the add "SUPERCHARGGER FOR BIG BLOCK CHEVY,SQUARE PORT HEADS,TWIN THROTTLE BODYS, AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY,MAP SENSER,INCLUDES TENSIONER ASSEMBLY,ADD A RELIABLE 150HP WITH EASE.EXCELLENT CONDITION." Now I have a carbed 454 mag 365hp, can this be installed and ran on my motor without issues, Are there more parts that I need or quesions I should ask? Just exploring all options before summer hits, thanks.

It doesn't mention the Fuel system and ECU.
That setup is for an injected motor. You'll need a fuel pump w return plumbing, the electronics, and wiring harness. Decent pictures will help. mc |
The 575 supercharger (a Weiand 256) and intake will fit any rectangular port, standard deck BBC (I would double check if it's a Gen 4).
You could use carburetion instead of the TB injection. The injection is better (1340 CFM), but as Mike mentioned requires additional electronics and pumps. Regards, Steve |
