Default Mercury 500HP Cranking Compression

Has anyone completed a compression test on a healthy Mercury 500HP (Carb) engine? If so what is the average. Thanks in advance!

Good cranking compression is around 150-160lbs. It will give you some indications. If you are checking the health of an engine, a leak down is definately better and will help you narrow down any issues.
