What can be used to remove all the wax from the gell coat before painting?????

If you can find it acryla-clean. Made by PPG worked very well. Also the wet sanding will take if off as you prep for paint.

Don't forget never to use used rags to wipe clean before painting as there may be wax or oil present in the rags that will transfer to the fiber glass. I always use paper towels then a tac rag.

I second the motions !! The PPG (thinks its a DX330) is basically a wax/grease remover for prep, and you really should try to do it even before sanding. (because you would actually "work" the uncleaned surface in). Also, this stuff is pretty safe just in case you get it near any items, stripes....etc.

After the sanding, use it again. Then lightly a cheese cloth to remove any dust. (Do not even tough the surface with you hands. The oil can contaminate it)

PPG acryla-clean is the way to go.
