Clearing Smartcraft Alarm
 

Greetings,
I have a 496 HO and recently installed a Smartcraft SC1000. The SC1000 shows the flashing bell and the flashing engine symbols, although there are no current alarms, other than the ones due to no sensors installed. Fuel level, trim, steering, etc.
Using the Diacom system, if I clear the alarms, it clears the SC1000, but then it comes back. Any ideas?

My neighbor's 496HO did this last summer. We were unable to find a fault using the Rinda tool and his engine seemed to run fine but kept getting the flashing engine and bell alarm on the SC1000 gauge. It turned out to be a faulty IAC (Idle Air Control) module which he replaced and it cleared the alarm.
