Which trim tabs? 22' scarab

Which trim tabs should I put on a 22' scarab. I was thinking the bennett sport tabs. The boat is all stock, and most likely will stay that way. I just want a little more control without a huge cost. The sport tabs are $600ish. Anyone have any good or bad opinions of these?

Thanks
Steve

Steve,
I just installed a set of st-16's (sport tabs) on my 260 Powerquest. I think you can't beat them for the price! You could probably go with the st-12's , but if you're like me bigger is better! I bought mine from Marine.com for 528.30. Boatfix has them too, they were 534.30. Check them both out the price's seem to change. They weren't too hard to install, took me about 6 hrs. But I'm real anal. I ordered a set of mechanical indicator's from Stainless marine. They have a kit for the Bennetts. They were about the same as the Bennett indicators. Good luck!

I think that with your boat you will be very happy with them. K-planes also come in a smaller version. I think they call them Sport taps. The trim piston is internal instead of external. If you go with the bennets make sure you screw them into a solid part of the transom and also make sure you through bolt the piston tops if you can.

I put the bennett st 16's on my 23 baja and love them...

dual ram 12 X 16, Paid 550.00 and installed them in a day... Best money I have spent on the boat yet.. I like the new bat-wing design tabs from bennett, they look better..
