Anyone out there that can help me with the Value of a older CAT?

My dad and I are trying to buy a older CAT. We were wondering if there was anyone here that could help us figure out what it is worth and what to look out for. Don't want to go blabbing on here about it as the owner may be a member. If anyone can help could you please PM us here. Thanks!

When you say older cat there is really only one brand that has made cats for a while that are worth anything and truly are great boats.... SKATER. If you want an older outboard cat Motion and Spectre are good boats. There are other cats out there that are older and are for the most part not very good examples of a good cat.
Here is a 99 32 Skater that is priced very low.

OUCH! I like my older Hydra Tech. Older usually means heavier. Look for stress cracks, repairs, and moisture damage. Since your looking for older I assume that you plan on redoing alot of the mechanicals? A good solid hull is a good place to start and will save alot of time, effort and money. If it's a member on OSO then for the most part I would think that they are honest and would disclose any defects. Also there might be a member who would go by and take a look for you if distance is an issue. Any honest person shouldn't have a problem with someone taking a look or commenting on the particular boat. Someone on here might have knowledge of the boat your interested in. Just my 2cts worth.
