The ECU does need to be changed.

Agreed......... assuming he did not change props.

The problem may be the location of the chiller water pick ups. Aerated water could be causing prop cavitation and higher propslip numbers.

Did he change anything else? 5100 before and 5100 after should equal the same speed with the rest of the boat being the same.

Sounds like a lot of over engineering going on here!
