dewinterized the boat and it doesnt look good
 

just dewinterized the boat put the batteries back in wanted to run it to warm it up to change the oil so i fire it up and hear something clanking aound in the back of the motor so i shut it down and take i look to find water leaking from the back of the block cant tell where def coming from the bellhousing ill have to pull it and see but im hoping for a blown freeze plug in the back of the block. i winterized it with -40 glycol using the same process i always have done and never had a problem . what do you guys think am i gonna luck out or is the block f@#!@!

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of hope for you. I have NEVER seen one push out the freeze plug without cranking the block, heads or both. Everyone calls them freeze plugs, yet they are not there to stop a block from freezing and cracking. They are actually there for casting. They are used to remove the sand from the casting process.
I really wish you the best, but prepare for the worst. Let me know if I can help in any way.

This is true, the term freeze plug is a misnomer. When ice forms, it expands in all directions equally. It does not take the path of least resistance. While it may pop a plug, it will also pop anything else in it's path of expansion.

The anti-freeze probably didn't make it all the way into the block. The only sure way to get the block fully winterized is to drain it completely, probing the block drains to assure they don't clog with scale or other debris, and then fill it manually with anti-freeze. Crack the drain plugs again and assure anti-freeze flows out.

I also hope for the best for you but it doesn't sound good. If it's any consolation, I've been there.:(
