What is this stuff (goop)?
I pulled the piece of flooring covering my gas tank to replace the carpet and noticed that the connection between the tank and the fill hose is coverd in some kind of clear jelly like substance. Anybody know what that is? It's an Aluminum tank and a fuel rated hose. This goop is covering the fill and vent connections, but not the engine supply conection. I do not smell gas or see signs of leakage. Is this something that is there on purpose?
