Well I got the gimble bearings in sucessfully, excaleagle42 I tried your freezer trick, I believe it helped quite a bit. I used the merc tool to pull them and the merc driver to install them. I cannot see someone using a slide hamer to pull them out they were in there very tight. The puller tool uses a big threded rod and a nut to pull them out . I really had to reef on the wrench. They were original to the drive as I could tell from the marks in the housing. I am glad I replaced them. One was definatly bad

One drive lines up perfect the otherone needs the engine adjusted :mad:

I would try leaving the bearing in a freezer for a while or over night. if you could heat the gimbol housing with a heat gun just prior to installation it would help to. I done this before with other bearing on car axels and it works with great results. They practically place right in. good luck
