Depth Finder Wire

Is there a way to splice the depth finder gauge wire? Mine is cut and I would like to fix it.

i would think so just like any wire that gets cuts, and if you need more wire, find the like gauge. Instead of just splicing wires together its always better to put each end into a connector then connect i always like tapping over it too.

Soldier and heat shrink seams to work also. If it is shielded wire make sure you reattach the shield too.

Yes it appears to be a coax style wire.

i think the outside mesh wire is just a shielding vs conducting anything, you can probably find some and re attach or attach attach the wire without the shielding you might need it. That shielding is either for heat or to block intereference. If not youll be stringing together a new wire

If it's coax cable, go to radio shack or similar and get a coax double male and a pair of female ends and splice it like connecting 2 cables together. My 2cts.
