Brand new k-planes- one sticks when down, HELP
 

I just installed a brand new set of 280 Merc tabs. This was a brand new complete kit, so all parts are new. When I put one of my tabs all the way down, it gets stuck. I need to hit the switch about 10 times before it decides it wants to come up. If i only put it part of the way down it works perfect. Only gets stuck when it goes all the way down. Anyone have any idea of what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks, Jeff Wurl

Very unlikely that it is the tab, probably the pump not having enough pressure to "pop" the shuttle valve. If the air is bled out and it persists I would get the pump checked out or replaced.

Dissconnect the lines and move the tab up and down by hand. If it sticks when all the way down check the clearence between then hinged part of the tab and the transom. There could be something making the hing bind.
