454 Mag buildup
 

Well I popped a 502in the fall and over the winter we tore it down and the block is very un happy :) and so I am in search of new motors (the other 502 spun a rod bearing) and found a set of fresh 454 mag long blocks....... I have all my accesories so the long blocks are an OK price and I figured i could add a little and get em better than my 502's were.

SO my question to the class is if you were wanting to build 454mag efi motors what would you add to make them reliable and add some HP. I know an exhaust is in order and assuming cam and there is a local guy who can make the ECU much happier, but what am I missing that also wont break the bank.............:eek:

so what would suggestions be for the build up and approx gains.
