HI all. i need several turn key before the starter go on on my 496 HO,wen i turn key i eard a little clic thats all.first i think i have to look at the slave solenoid but i cant find it.any help.thank

Back of the engine with the circuit breaker mounted to it (by the harness connector) on most that I have seen. Not to fimaliar with the 496 set up thought.

check all the main battery cables first for cleanliness and tightness....it's usually the simple stuff....then the ignition switch, then try the slave, worst case..an ignition module...at least that's the way my 350's behave....

I have the same problem...

Had the starter bench tested, cleaned, and new solonoid...not fixed.

New battery...not fixed.

Slave solonoid (I could not find it at first either, one member posted on my question some photo's, that helped big time!)

Mine is a 454 magnum and is located under a plastic shield beside the anti corrosion blue box.

What do you check for on the ignition switch?

I assume continuity?
