Well that answers that

With big blowers like that, yo might just be better running it in a side by side, then you still have a lot of your swim pad up front to use for your women, isntead of letting your scoops take up all that space.

And it would be easier to just fill the hole in the transom.

That is my imagination working on that though. It would be pretty cool.

kinda like this....

All kidding aside, it's a pretty tight squeeze with the headers!

That is why I was wondering if the side by side was such a bad idea.

There is one on boat trader that has 850's and some sort of speedmaster and it is rigged side by side. And it is the older hull

What about doing a short (half) stagger if forward clearance is an issue?

Layout

I had the OHIO STEEL whick was a stagger setup. The motor staggar was a full 48" plus the rear tranny had a driveshaft of 12".
The engine compartment was liklely custom but it was every bit of 9 feet or a little more trnsom to bulkhead.
Hope you get it figured. I see most Fountains are not a full 48"staggar with 18" drive spacing. This may be causing your layout problems.
Find a boat with short staggar and you may get it to fit.
Ken
