10' gw invader
 

i have been restoring a 10' gw invader. just something to zip back and forth to gilgo and frank and dicks. i am almost done just finished painting the bottom and now getting ready for the top. i have a 4 cyl 50 merc i am putting on this. my question is what speeds does anyone think i should expect from this?? i had someone tell me that back in the dat they use to rig these boats with 25 mercs and they were getting 40-45 out of them.

With a 4 cylinder merc 50 you'll see about 45mph i have two Gw's. Both with 3 cylinder 50's

can't help you there, but when I was a kid the local boat dealer was a dealer for them and it was my dream boat back then...still love to see them restored..good luck and post some pics !! Rob
