They're generally distributed through tire stores and smaller mechanic shops. I don't know if they have a contract with them or something but I have good luck finding Interstate batteries at Firestone tire dealers.

Damn good batteries. They're the only battery that I seem to get at least two seasons out of on a consistent basis.

Are the Die Hard Sears batters any good

GTOFFSHORE 06-15-2010 03:01 PM

I just installed a group 31 from batteries plus. It was 99 buck with a reserve capacity of 200 and 105 amp hours! Worked awesome jamming out on water for 5 hours! Found out that they are just rebadged DEKA batts. Did some research and nothing really compares unless you go to a monster 4id or 8id size which is really way too big for a standard boat IMO.

That is what my local marine mechanic sells. If you go to the Interstate website, you should be able to find a dealer in your area.
I have had them last 5 years or more in my boats.

Interstate, I change them at 5 years, and they are still good.

I have group 31 Deka Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Batteries, best batteries I have owned. Period. I bought mine through my local marine store. The AGM batteries are a bit more expensive than it's traditional lead acid counter part, but in my opiniopn, worth the extra $$ I think I paid around $230 each for the AGM. I run my 2500 watt stereo for 8 hrs on one. I just added a second one to extend to 16 hrs. They are heavy @ 75 lbs each....

I just bought a group 27 Interstate deep cycle battery from batteries plus. This is my 3rd interstate battery. I have never had a problem, and consumer reports always ranks them high.
