Trying to hook up water to this nortech that just showed up....

Looking from the water pump tracing back down the intake line there is a T that goes to a through hull on the back of the transom.

Is this the flush kit and is it some kind of weird adapter, or is it a pressur releif for the low water pick ups, and this is where the over flow goes??

Otherwise, the only way I can figure to flush this engine is to buy a low water pick up piece for the end of the hose.

Thanks,Jeff

Not positive, but it looks like a pressure relief valve to me. It's between the pickup and the sea pump right? You should be able to hook water up directly to that line and flush it. That may be problematic of course if you are doing it in the water, or want to do it regularly; but to run it on the hose, I don't see a problem.

The problem is that there is no way to hook a hose to it. I am just going to go by a hose adapter for a low water pick up bravo and make it work somehow

My set up is very similar, I disconnect the clamp and separate the hose right before the sea-pump. I have an adapter I made from irrigation fittings from tractor supply with a hose fitting on one end and a large barbed fitting on the other. Slide it into the hose, clamp it down, and it's good to go. Does this make sense?

That is what it is. I am leaving it alone. I am just gonna run the water through the drive like it is supposed to be.

Boat has been sitting out in the CA sun for 2 years with no cover on it. I am surprised it looks as good as it does. The paint is still perfect. I can't figure out why. I am just trying to see if the engines actually run.

Drives next.
