Sea Water Pump rebuild question

Is the bearings and seals hard to change in this set up?

Looks like I need to replace part numbers 15-16 and 19 shown below.

I looked at doing the same thing, almost the same price with in a $100. Nothing beats new.

Are you sure that is the problem? Have you pulled it apart yet?

Only reason I ask is because I had one lock up the other day to the point the enginen wouldn't turn over - I assumed I had burned the bearings out of it and when I pulled it apart I had torn up the impellor which had lodged and prevented the thing from turning over. 50 dollar impellor kit and 20 minutes and I was back up and running..

The seal is bad between the impeller and the bearings.

I found those bearings and seals at my local auto parts supply, but that housing has a fuel pump mount and mine does not. I wonder if it uses the same bearings and seals??

I don't think so....the one that runs the fuel pump is a POS and nothing but $$$ problems..my .02 !!!
