boat storage

okay i know i am a little guy with a old boat , but i want to know if all you guys with bigger newer boats all have nice garages for them . i ask cause i feel horrible about storing my boat outside during the summer . i then store it inside over the winter but i have to pay for that . i just can not even have the thought of buying a bigger nicer boat with out having a garage to put it in , or am i just weird and its not that big of a deal .

Mine sits outside on a trailer all summer and winter. I use a mooring cover in the summer. Keeps the sun and junk off.

Mine sits outside all year with a full cover. But I live in houston so not too worried about harsh winter weather.

Mine sits on a lift on a covered dock all summer and in one of my truck bays at work during the winter. One of these days I will build a garage to keep it at the lake. I hate to leave anything outside. But thats just me.

Mine is out all summer on a lift and shrink wrapped to the chine all winter.Keep it protected with wax and you will be fine. If you are boating in the Florida sun then you will have to take more precautions.

i can only imagine , i clean and wax the boat reguarly its kinda hobby . but you guys make me feel a little better about having something sit out as long as its covered should be good .

Mine is in my garage except when its not in the water. This has been for the last 6 years or so since I had the house built with a big enough garage

However you store your boat, you're doing better than this guy...

I don't get it... apparently cinder blocks and 4X4's are expensive in his area...

I built a "lean-to" off the side of my garage. Boat is outside but a nicely stretched tarp keeps the rain and sun off and allows me to work on it easily. I was fortunate to have the perfect gap between fence and garage to make it work.
